PROJECT "LOVE ALL" (EARTHSHINE)
The fact is that the moon contains seas (e.g. Oceanus Procellarum, Mare Ibrium, Mare Serenitatis, Mare Tranquilitatis) of relatively low albedo that can be marked/raked to scatter light with a higher albedo in these areas (as evidenced with existing craters). Another fact is that people in other countries are spoon-fed/educated only in the way in which their "state" allows. An unobscured (unless temporarily by clouds) message from above is the only way to reach every person (young and old) to hopefully penetrate the propaganda that influences them. The intent of this project is to build a non-profit organization by 2028 to help finance this idea using the following underlying calculations (in brief)...
* The moon is about 2240 km wide in appearance so each letter would be approximately 150x150 km with a pixel width of about 5 square km.
* Speed of the robot would be about 5 cm per second (i.e. 180 meters per hour, based on Mars Rover estimates), so each pixel would take about 28 hours to mark/rake. That means that each letter would take about 70 days on average to mark/rake. Including the non-rake time between letters, that would be about 1.5 to 2 years to mark/rake the entire message.
* Each movement of the robot can be programmed and/or remote-controlled from Earth, with much better response times than the Mars Rover.
* The robot would need a ride (from an Atlas or similar rocket) and outer hull with propulsion system to be able to navigate (programmed and/or remote-controlled) its way to Oceanus Procellarum where the lettering begins.
* There is no erosion on the moon like there is here on Earth (aside from the solar wind and infrequent hits from meteors) due to the lack of atmosphere, so the message could conceivably be there for the life of humanity on Earth (unless purposely defaced).
